Winter Bird Christmas Card

I used Winter Bird from The Doodle Garden for my Christmas card and created an extra few branches for my birdy to sit on using my Bird punch, which has been literally gathering dust as I haven’t used it it ages. I also used the punch poo from my snowflake border for the little stars.  I just love snow and this reminds me of all the wonderful holidays I have had at the snow. I remember that moment when for the first time I actually noticed a snowflake on my ski jacket and it looked like the snowflakes on Christmas cards I had received over the years and I realised that is how they really look…this was a more than 20years ago folks when I had lovely young eyes and could still see everything!

Sweet as Cherry Pie

This image reminds me of my girlfriend Tracey who makes amazing meals and especially desserts, so when I saw this image called Dotti Baking from Bugaboo Stamps I had to have it! I decided to make my own sentiment on the computer and I’m very pleased how it turned out.  I used my White Gel Pen to add tiny white dots to her dress and dimensional adhesive to really lift the pie…it’s making me hungry talking about it!  I managed to find some paper in my stash that has cherry’s and I’m committed to using what I’ve got and as I explore my stash I definitely have more than I thought! I used my button die to get the perfect colour for my buttons!

Christmas Treat Box

It’s such a cute little box and so quick to make,and  M & M’s are perfect to pop in or small mints…any chocolate really. It’s made using a 6x 6 inch designer paper double sided and scored like tic tac toe and then the extra score lines to fold and a flap to finish,easy peasy when you know how. When I get a chance I will do a YouTube tutorial for all you visual learners,…. like me. I really enjoy the challenge of construction and hate reading instructions but it’s so worth it when it’s finished!

Soccer/Football Birthday Card

I made this for my son for his16th Birthday using a new product I picked up at the Brisbane Craft Fair Anita’s Quality Essential- Die Cut Toppers-Football.Thank goodness my friend Vicki talked me into buying this die cut, it’s great.  I really need a set of Oval Spellbinders as I feel it would have been perfect for an extra layer (something else to tell Santa I really need!) . My son is an amazing soccer player for his age and played in two teams this year , so this was the perfect card for him. This is my first finished easel card and I used up more bits and pieces from my stash and my best find was this ball that I had originally purchased about 3yrs ago with very good intentions to do something  Soccer/Football and finally it has made it onto a card, and the beautiful red embossed cardstock was a hand me down!

Golf Birthday Card

I made this Golf Birthday Card card for my girlfriends Dad. Clive is 75 today and I was inspired by my friend Vicki Fraser to make this card after she made my hubby a golf card for his birthday. I’m always happy to take bits and pieces no longer wanted in my circle of crafters and the grass and sky are all wallpapers given to me. I love the texture of the green wallpapers they really add a great effect  for the grass and the sky wallpaper… well I wish I had a whole roll of that! I used my Stampin Up Scallop Edge Border Punch to make the grass.

A great way to store your crafting punches, that is space efficient and easy to store on a bookshelf or even take with you to craft class. I hope you like my storage ideas.

Recycle Plastic Packaging to make a Bling Holder

I purchased some undies for hubby and recycled the packaging to create a Bling Holder for my Rhinestones,Pearls and Bling. Honestly how could I have thrown this packaging in the bin, I just had to recycle it !

Baby Dress Card

My girlfriend Vicki Fraser and I decided to make a dress card. We didn’t have a pattern, just an idea. I made this using obviously very thin cardstock because when I tried to make another in a different colour I would have had to use my Spellbinders circles, but with this card I used my punches for the neckline and produced this gorgeous one layer card and I think it is just adorable. I put some dimensional magic on the collar to give it some depth and by using two embossing folders gave it contrast and interest. Sweet and simple and I’m very happy with the result.

Penguin Party Time

I’ve been dying to try some new stuff out lately, and my purchase of this gorgeous string inspired me to try it out with some balloons. Ask my friend Vicki Fraser she will tell you how embarrassing I am at the shopping centre when it comes to balloons, I just love them! I couldn’t resist this handsome penguin gentleman who no doubt has happy feet and can trip the light fantastic. Yes, I’m ready to party. I have a thing for bright colours and know the young recipient of this card will love it as much as I do.

Party Animal

I love this new paper design by Kaisercraft called Party Animals. It’s a different style of card making for me as I’d normally class myself as a stamper, but I'm here to try all new things and experiment and recreate a new style for myself. Hibiscus Birthday

I clear embossed this Stamp It hibiscus  flower stamp over patterned paper then used a Kaiser craft Hot Pink and purple  inkpad with a Stamp It sponging block to blend over card and removed any excess ink by rubbing a tissue over .I then added the glitter,butterflies and bling to finish!

 

 

 

I decided I was on a roll and decorated inside my card as well, it’s nice to add that little extra surprise when you open up the card.
