Daisy Doodles Ryan the Footballer/Soccer Birthday Card

This is my third card for Card Crafter’s Circle Design Team and I made this card for my son’s birthday which isn’t until November, but this is much better than making one at the last minute….. like I usually do!These are his club colours and I laid out his shirt and used my Copic Multi liner .3 to add some extra lines in to his shirt and a background. I haven’t got a colour printer yet or I would have used the grass that comes with this Digi called Ryan the Footballer. I used the digi paper with all the soccer words on the background using Yellow Cardstock in my printer and I’m so happy with this card and of course used my Copics to colour him in. I also added orange boots, these are my son’s favorite boots and added a Nike tick on side of boots because he won’t wear any thing except Nike boots for his Soccer. I love the Justin B haircut, my son loves to flick his hair..just like the digi. Soccer should be my middle name too because all conversations in this house revert to Soccer, as I have not one but two Soccer Tragic’s in our house!! I just hope I can find this card when it’s his birthday!

Soccer/Football Birthday Card

I made this for my son for his16th Birthday using a new product I picked up at the Brisbane Craft Fair Anita’s Quality Essential- Die Cut Toppers-Football.Thank goodness my friend Vicki talked me into buying this die cut, it’s great.  I really need a set of Oval Spellbinders as I feel it would have been perfect for an extra layer (something else to tell Santa I really need!) . My son is an amazing soccer player for his age and played in two teams this year , so this was the perfect card for him. This is my first finished easel card and I used up more bits and pieces from my stash and my best find was this ball that I had originally purchased about 3yrs ago with very good intentions to do something  Soccer/Football and finally it has made it onto a card, and the beautiful red embossed cardstock was a hand me down!  Cards October,2011 013

Bold,Bright & Bring on the Bling Star Christmas Card

I decided to have a play around and try to clear emboss onto patterned paper which is something I’ve never tried before. I adore bright and bold colours because they make me happy just looking at them.so I chose this patterned paper sheet in my DCWV The Blossoms & Butterflies Stack to try out this new technique combined with this scalloped star stamp that I bought from a lovely lady clearing out all her old stamps. Well …she never made it out of the car park to try to sell them at our group day I bought them all, because they were so unusual and she gave me an absolute bargain and threw in some free stamps for my darling daughter. I knew the scallops on the star would soften the strong diamond pattern and make an unusual Christmas Card. So I clear embossed the star onto the patterned paper then used my Stamp It Sponging Block with Vicki Fraser’s  Stampin Up Temping Turquoise Inkpad. I’m definitely getting that Temping Turquoise  Inkpad I just love this colour.Anyway,I sponged it until I covered the square of patterned paper and then rubbed over with a tissue to remove he excess ink to reveal my clear embossing. I think it turned out great. Then to the job of mounting it.I went and bought some new cardstock so it all matched beautifully .  I was passionate about doing some paper piercing and using my new Stampin Up photo corner punch and very pleased with the result of this card inside and out. Those who know me well, know I am currently addicted to glitter and bling. I’m sorry but I just can’t help myself there is glitter and bling everywhere on this card and the dog who forever sits underneath me, but really who doesn’t love glitter and bling!
