Christmas Gifts Card

This Christmas Tree looks warm, cozy and festive and has a lovely Christmas feeling to it. To create the card, I used a sketch a girlfriend gave me which made it so much easier to make decisions on how to put my card together. I love Christmas morning and all the presents wrapped under the tree. My kids favourite joke present for their father is to wrap his wallet, good for a laugh!! Sunset Seagull Card

I used Seafaring Seagull Frame from Meljens and I was totally inspired by a card I saw over at my blogging friend Brenda’s of Floral Fantasies and have had something in mind for a while. I enjoyed making the background. October 2012 020

Rainbow Thank You Card

I chose this image from the silhouette range of images from Bugaboo stamps because I could visualize a rainbow as the background and it’s just an amazing piece of art and it was the perfect image for a rainbow theme. When I went to pick up my Copics to start colouring a rainbow I couldn't remember what order the colours went in and had to look it up. Here is the order  for a Rainbow….Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet if you are like me and not sure of the exact order. I wanted a darker background at the top  to pop the focal point forward and really frame this rainbow and used dimensional adhesive to add even more dimension. I chose a ribbon that picked up all the colours I used in my cardstock. I used Dimensional Magic to add  a 3d effect and it really made a difference especially for my hummingbird! I used my Butterfly embossing folder so it adds another natural element both on the front and the inside of my card. I made this card for my daughters hair dresser and wig lady to thank her for everything she has done and the wonderful friendship they formed.. Altogether  my daughter has used over 50 cards to thank everybody the whole cast and crew after a great show working together in Annie the Musical from Brisbane, it’s been an experience of a lifetime! Kaye Clyma

I love this card my friend Kaye Clyma made for my Birthday last year I think it’s the colours I’ve had it on my bookshelf all year admiring it. I’m in a card group called Stamping with Friends and at the beginning of the year we all give Kaye a Birthday card and then every month she selects one to give to each of us for our birthday (not our own of course) that way everybody gets a card and is remembered on their birthday!

My Stampin Up Party & Kaye’s 64th Birthday

What a great day we had with all my wonderful girlfriends at my Stampin Up Party. Jane Norrish my talented demonstrator did an amazing class with a huge variety of techniques and it was Sale- a- Bration so we got free stamps with orders over $100. You can never have too many stamps. Everybody brought a plate of food to share and we enjoyed a bountiful luncheon on the front verandah. If you look closely you can see Kaye blowing out the candles on a magnificent Toblerone Cheesecake that I made for her. In the background we played the song by the Beatles “When I’m 64” . We all had so much fun. My husband said I should have another party later in the year because he’d never seen the house so clean. My daughter promptly told all the girls “this house is cleaner than at Christmas”, nothing like a deadline and visitors to get yourself a clean and tidy house.
