Margarita

I made this card for my sister Margaret who is having her 60th Birthday. I wanted to create something she would like and as she has always enjoyed parties, I felt she would love this image of a Margarita that I picked out at Oak Pond Creations. It’s also a play on her name, so I split the name so she gets the fun side of what I have created and she can clearly see what she is affectionately known as - Marg. I used my Provo Craft Circa 12pts stamp to create the word ..MARGARITA, it's one of the first stamps I ever bought and hardly use ..we all have a few things we buy with good intentions and then forget we own them. I'm on a mission to resort my craft area...so I can find things better and put the stuff I use all the time at the front. I'm one of those messy arty types, and even I can't believe how much stuff I need out to make just one card. All tips or links greatly appreciated!

Soccer/Football Birthday Card

I made this for my son for his16th Birthday using a new product I picked up at the Brisbane Craft Fair Anita’s Quality Essential- Die Cut Toppers-Football.Thank goodness my friend Vicki talked me into buying this die cut, it’s great.  I really need a set of Oval Spellbinders as I feel it would have been perfect for an extra layer (something else to tell Santa I really need!) . My son is an amazing soccer player for his age and played in two teams this year , so this was the perfect card for him. This is my first finished easel card and I used up more bits and pieces from my stash and my best find was this ball that I had originally purchased about 3yrs ago with very good intentions to do something  Soccer/Football and finally it has made it onto a card, and the beautiful red embossed cardstock was a hand me down!

Golf Birthday Card

I made this Golf Birthday Card card for my girlfriends Dad. Clive is 75 today and I was inspired by my friend Vicki Fraser to make this card after she made my hubby a golf card for his birthday. I’m always happy to take bits and pieces no longer wanted in my circle of crafters and the grass and sky are all wallpapers given to me. I love the texture of the green wallpapers they really add a great effect  for the grass and the sky wallpaper… well I wish I had a whole roll of that! I used my Stampin Up Scallop Edge Border Punch to make the grass.

Magnolia Singing Tilda

I really enjoyed making this card for my daughters birthday,she loves to sing and my girlfriend Vicki Fraser bought this Magnolia Tilda Singing stamp for me so I could make my darling daughter the perfect birthday card. I paper pieced Singing Tilda to get the dress just the right colour and shaped it to give it a slight curve using my flower tool, before gluing into position.  I chose a designer paper that my wonderful friend Frances from Stamp Owl gave me for Tilda’s dress to match the dress my daughter wears on stage that shimmers and sparkles. I used a purple gel pen and highlighted with Ice Stickles Glitter Glue to finish.I wanted to use some shading behind and used my Spellbinder Circle as a mask to get the white edge effect with my Sponging Block and Colorbox Chalk Ink. Then I used the Tim Holtz Alterations Carnivale to personalise the card and add her age using some new Glitter Cardstock. I wanted an unusual shape card  and placed Tilda looking down from the top of the card like my daughter does when she’s on stage.

Spellbinder Nestabilities Peony Handmade Flower & Recycling Plastic Bag Tutorial

I received the wonderful gift of socks for a gift and kept the plastic bag with zip to recycle. I made the flower using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Peony using 3 coloured papers, for assembly see my Make a Flower Video on my Trish and Treasure YouTube Channel. I  die cut two Stampin Up Sizzix Bigz Top Note out: one in polka dot paper, and the other in white. I used the white one on the inside to hide out the sock packaging details and I used Tim Holtz Alterations Carnivale lettering die, using up scraps left over from my polka dot paper for the lettering inside for ANITA. I made this for my darling daughter! I have also made a YouTube Tutorial so you can see how easy it was to make!
