Giving Thanks

The joy of parenthood and children is certainly something to be thankful for and I know how blessed I am to have my own two beautiful children. In fact I have turned into one of those Mum’s whose whole life revolves around their children and the activities they have embraced. I am thankful that in all my children attempt… they try their hardest, what more could you ask for! When I saw this image it reminded me of when I was pregnant, and I had this favourite dress I wore and I have copied the fabric design onto my image Mom Loves You from Milk Coffee

Rainbow Thank You Card

I chose this image from the silhouette range of images from Bugaboo stamps because I could visualize a rainbow as the background and it’s just an amazing piece of art and it was the perfect image for a rainbow theme. When I went to pick up my Copics to start colouring a rainbow I couldn't remember what order the colours went in and had to look it up. Here is the order  for a Rainbow….Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet if you are like me and not sure of the exact order. I wanted a darker background at the top  to pop the focal point forward and really frame this rainbow and used dimensional adhesive to add even more dimension. I chose a ribbon that picked up all the colours I used in my cardstock. I used Dimensional Magic to add  a 3d effect and it really made a difference especially for my hummingbird! I used my Butterfly embossing folder so it adds another natural element both on the front and the inside of my card. I made this card for my daughters hair dresser and wig lady to thank her for everything she has done and the wonderful friendship they formed.. Altogether  my daughter has used over 50 cards to thank everybody the whole cast and crew after a great show working together in Annie the Musical from Brisbane, it’s been an experience of a lifetime! Circle Punch Flower Birthday Card

It was a folding frenzy to make this flower card using 9 x 2 inch circles(1 as a base, 8 for the flower). I had a ball making the petals and I think the pearl brad adds that touch of class. It took quite a while to line up the piercing to create that faux stitching look. It’s the very first card that I have ever taken money for and I sold it for $4 to my wonderful  neighbor, a monumental moment!!
