Baby Girl Card

  I adore this cute little baby girl in her pram that I picked out at Pink Gem Designs and I just couldn’t wait to colour it in! I always enjoyed dressing my daughter when she was a baby in pretty pink clothes…and still do. Just for a bit of fun I used stickers for a change to embellish my card, and I have thrown a rattle out of the pram in fond memories of my my kids!!! I couldn’t tell you how many times we came home after a day at the shops pushing my pram around and arriving home with baby with just one sock or shoe or missing toys! I did a bit of faux stitching and used acetate to create a bit of a see thru section. I got to use my new Die-namics Flower Border both inside and outside my card and I used glitter glue in the centers. I cut the baby head and bib out and added this as a dimensional layer. I cut my Valerian Flourish Memory Box die cut into three pieces and arranged it to create a Cinderella carriage feel.

Christmas Smoochie Bears

I used this Christmas Smoochie Bears Stamp by Stamp Art Design for my Christmas in July card. I have been dying to use my white  flower soft on a Christmas card and this was the  perfect product to add to the hats to make them look soft and fluffy. I also used my new Memory Box die to give my card some pretty snowflakes and finished off with ribbon with dots. I love this polka dot paper, the dots feel like velvet and add to that warm fuzzy feeling with this card. I’m putting this card aside to give hubby for Christmas as we got married just a few days before Christmas and hopefully he will think this is cute! I paper pieced the jackets and gloves and if you look closely it has faint Christmas running writing through the red designer paper. First I printed onto this image onto White Cardstock and did my colouring in with my Copics and then I decided what paper to use to paper piece with.

For the paper piecing I printed off a sheet of my images using copy paper and then stuck  my designer paper down with double sided tape using a 6 x 6 sheet and ran it through my printer again. I did this so I didn’t have any wastage with my designer paper and positioned it exactly so I could use this for another card at a later time and now I have a spare set to fussy cut out when I’m waiting for my daughter at her next singing lesson!

Circle Punch Flower Birthday Card

It was a folding frenzy to make this flower card using 9 x 2 inch circles(1 as a base, 8 for the flower). I had a ball making the petals and I think the pearl brad adds that touch of class. It took quite a while to line up the piercing to create that faux stitching look. It’s the very first card that I have ever taken money for and I sold it for $4 to my wonderful  neighbor, a monumental moment!!

Bugaboo Stamps Dino Heart 1

I do hope you will be able to join us for our very first challenge over at Card Crafters Circle. Our theme this week is CREATE FOR ANY CELEBRATION!

Here is my card

This is the very cute digital  image I used  and it’s available at Bugaboo Stamps Here
I borrowed my friend Vicki Fraser’s (who has Blog Candy at the moment) small polka dot embossing folder for the smaller heart,which I paper pieced. I also paper pieced his feet and embossed as well, and I think it just adds that something extra.


I cut a strip of cardstock and scored to create a zigzag strip to attach to his head so Dino could have a wobbly head! The other stamps (Nitwit Collections) I used on this card came as a free gift with Australian Simply Cards Magazine Issue 34. I used sandpaper on the embossed footprints and had a ball colouring in with my Copics. This is Basic Grey Ribbon , American Crafts Amplified Designer papers Saturday Night Fever and Boogie and matching American Crafts Elements Round Buttons in Leaf.

Magnolia Singing Tilda

I really enjoyed making this card for my daughters birthday,she loves to sing and my girlfriend Vicki Fraser bought this Magnolia Tilda Singing stamp for me so I could make my darling daughter the perfect birthday card. I paper pieced Singing Tilda to get the dress just the right colour and shaped it to give it a slight curve using my flower tool, before gluing into position.  I chose a designer paper that my wonderful friend Frances from Stamp Owl gave me for Tilda’s dress to match the dress my daughter wears on stage that shimmers and sparkles. I used a purple gel pen and highlighted with Ice Stickles Glitter Glue to finish.I wanted to use some shading behind and used my Spellbinder Circle as a mask to get the white edge effect with my Sponging Block and Colorbox Chalk Ink. Then I used the Tim Holtz Alterations Carnivale to personalise the card and add her age using some new Glitter Cardstock. I wanted an unusual shape card  and placed Tilda looking down from the top of the card like my daughter does when she’s on stage.
