Golf Birthday Card

I made this Golf Birthday Card card for my girlfriends Dad. Clive is 75 today and I was inspired by my friend Vicki Fraser to make this card after she made my hubby a golf card for his birthday. I’m always happy to take bits and pieces no longer wanted in my circle of crafters and the grass and sky are all wallpapers given to me. I love the texture of the green wallpapers they really add a great effect  for the grass and the sky wallpaper… well I wish I had a whole roll of that! I used my Stampin Up Scallop Edge Border Punch to make the grass.Cards October,2011 009

Magnolia Singing Tilda

Anita's 11th Birthday October 2011 057

Anita's 11th Birthday October 2011 059

I really enjoyed making this card for my daughters birthday, she loves to sing and my girlfriend Vicki Fraser bought this Magnolia Tilda Singing stamp for me so I could make my darling daughter the perfect birthday card. I paper pieced Singing Tilda to get the dress just the right colour and shaped it to give it a slight curve using my flower tool, before gluing into position.  I chose a designer paper that my wonderful friend Frances from Stamp Owl gave me for Tilda’s dress to match the dress my daughter wears on stage that shimmers and sparkles. I used a purple gel pen and highlighted with Ice Stickles Glitter Glue to finish.I wanted to use some shading behind and used my Spellbinder Circle as a mask to get the white edge effect with my Sponging Block and Colorbox Chalk Ink. Then I used the Tim Holtz Alterations Carnivale to personalise the card and add her age using some new Glitter Cardstock. I wanted an unusual shape card  and placed Tilda looking down from the top of the card like my daughter does when she’s on stage.

This year I decided to embrace technology, you know cameras ,computers, anything with an instruction manual and slowly I have been working it out, and I have even bought something on eBay.That’s huge for me. My friend Vicki Fraser has been very helpful in the world of computers and a huge thanks to her for her amazing patience. I have come a long way since the beginning of the year and I’ve done my New Years Resolution justice! So far, so good.

Men's Golf Card

My husband is so sporty and Golf is one of his many loves! I really enjoyed making this card and decided to make my own background using my Provo Craft Circa 12 pts stamp where you can roll the letters around and print any word you like, I have had it for years and only used it a couple of times, mostly because i forgot I had it. I found this golf stamp at the Opportunity shop about 2 years ago and here is finally the card it was destined to be used for. I also finally used my oval punches for the sentiment which I am very pleased about, I will have to use them more often.I was inspired to make this card by the Golf Movie with Will Smith & Matt Damon in The Legend of Bagger Vance, hubby needs a golf angel.  I used dimensional magic on the club handle and golf balls to add some dimension. I coloured the edges of the stamp to look tartan as with a last name like Munro I  know there is some Scottish blood in there somewhere.

Spesch Birthday Card using Paper Piecing

I have to say I am feeling very special as my girlfriend Vicki Fraser arrived with a card ready to make and like twins we made one each only differing with our coloring in and ribbons and buttons. We used her new Spesch Designer Stamp and she is so very cute, and cut around her so she popped off the background paper. Vicki had already sorted out two paper piecing- firstly the dress and then the balloons and pre cut them both ,how lucky am I! I used my Whispers Strokes Marker to colour her hair, eyes and dress trim and my favorite markers ever are my Copic  Markers E11 & E00 which I used for the face/skin tones.Copic markers are so on my Santa Wish List!Vicki got these lovely rounded bling as a gift with purchase from the Craft Queen, they are so classy.I used some glitter to accentuate her pretty bow in her hair. Vicki cut the grass using her border punch that had a kind of soft wavy line then going back thru the punch off center this time and not lining it up makes grass, too easy! I had a heap of fun making this card!

Handmade Flower Card with Martha Stewart Punch by Anita Munro

Please Subscribe to my YouTube Channel Trish and Treasure

My Darling Daughter Anita who is only 10yrs old premade the Flower using all pink flowers but in different sizes, and when she liked what she had made she glued each layer together and added a butterfly bling embellishment to add a bit of her own personal flair. Anita placed a adhesive dimensional under the flower so it would pop off the card for added interest! She used a piece of pink paper and used the Martha Stewart Scroll Heart Deep Edger Border Punch down both sides to create a Lace Trim which she fixed to the card carefully with Glue. Anita added a sentiment using the Stampin Up Modern Label Punch and Stampin Up Word Window Punch and stamped using Colorbox Chalk ink her sentiment from Stampin Up Stamp Set called Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

Anita made this card for her school teacher for her Birthday and I was surprised to see that she had pre written on a notepad what she was going to write inside, which is very cute and thoughtful.

I will enter this card in the following challenges on her behalf:

Billionaire by Anita Munro

Please Subscribe! or even Like !!!!

I really have to work out how to get a hang of this video camera and get a better picture, but a least it’s a record of her singing at age 10 years old.Anita won FIRST PLACE at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod 2011 for Vocal Solo Popular Song….Billionaire! The adjudicators report said “I BELIEVE YOU!” It's a shame you cannot see all the expression in her face on the video because she was really amazing as she brought new moves with a live audience!

Spellbinder Nestabilities Peony Handmade Flower & Recycling Plastic Bag Tutorial

I received the wonderful gift of socks for a gift and kept the plastic bag with zip to recycle. I made the flower using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Peony using 3 coloured papers, for assembly see my Make a Flower Video on my Trish and Treasure YouTube Channel. I  die cut two Stampin Up Sizzix Bigz Top Note out: one in polka dot paper, and the other in white. I used the white one on the inside to hide out the sock packaging details and I used Tim Holtz Alterations Carnivale lettering die, using up scraps left over from my polka dot paper for the lettering inside for ANITA. I made this for my darling daughter! I have also made a YouTube Tutorial so you can see how easy it was to make!cardmaking vids 006
