Acetate Flower Bookmark

I decided to make a quick bookmark as a back up gift, as my drawer of giveaways empties as fast as I make them.I used Stazon Black Ink to stamp the flower on acetate and then hand cut to add an extra and unusual layer to my flower.It’s great to be able to give a handmade gift!

How to Store Your Inkpads

This storage  idea is perfect for Colorbox Chalk Inkpad, Brilliance Pigment Ink Pad, VersaMark, Castaway, Stazon & Adirondack Ink Pads.It is compact to store on a bookshelf or carry off to your local craft class.I used my Brother P-touch 1000 to label my inkpads and it’s been very handy over the years I’ve had it.

This year I decided to embrace technology, you know cameras ,computers, anything with an instruction manual and slowly I have been working it out, and I have even bought something on eBay.That’s huge for me. My friend Vicki Fraser has been very helpful in the world of computers and a huge thanks to her for her amazing patience. I have come a long way since the beginning of the year and I’ve done my New Years Resolution justice! So far, so good.

Happy Fathers Day Card

I enjoyed making this Tiger Card as it oozes masculinity, which really suits my hubby and will be the perfect Fathers Day Card for him.

I added the textured card at the bottom to accentuate the mirrored effect of the water in my stamped image, and it was nice to add some natural coloured texture to try to man this card up a bit! I added a purple highlight to offset the grey colouring, for the cool colours that are under the Tiger’s neck . I started colouring this last year at my daughter’s  play rehearsal for the same theatre company as this year and finished it finally the other night, only one year later and another play later. It was a marathon to colour and took a lot longer than I thought. I don’t mind waiting for her at all and it gives me a bit more time to do my crafting, unfortunately there is only 2 more weeks of rehearsals for Jack & the Beanstalk a Pantomime ( she’s the back half of a cow, a villager, the hen that lays the golden egg, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz(singing Were off to see the the Wizard solo) & a scary monster monster. That’s a lot of costume changes for one play.This is her 4th play for the year. Her 3rd Play this year has performances next week. She is small Alice in Alice in Wonderland a Disney play,so it’s go go go around here. Hair,Make up, Action!

Blue Mouse

Here is another card darling daughter and I made together…she’s famous today…… front cover of the local newspaper THE TWEED SUN a huge photo with a story on page 3 of how she is honoured to sing the Australian National Anthem on ANZAC day  25th April. We hope you like our glittering mouse!

Make and Take with Amanda

Amanda Cordingley a Kaszazz Consultant in Brisbane,Australia demonstrated this tag and these two cards as a make and take at our monthly meeting of Stamping with Friends at Varsity Lakes Community Centre on the Gold Coast.I really enjoyed making these, and it's nice to try new techniques.

On this tag we took a tag made from acetate and added some dimensional magic and a drop of pink and a drop of teal from re-inkers at opposite ends and some rock candy drizzled all over and rubbed away with one finger to mix up the colours and then put a tissue over the top to blot and leave in position to dry. Then we removed excess tissue as only one layer of my tissue stuck down and then trimmed the edge with scissors and adhered a tag of identical proportions to rear to finish. When I got home I decided to turn it into a bookmark so I added the ribbon and used my black stazon ink and my Upsy Daisy stamp to finish it off with my own touch. Fabulous technique I love getting inky fingers!

We also made this card. I took it home to finish as I had to leave class early to take darling daughter who is 10yrs old to a photo shot with the local paper as she is singing the Australian national anthem on ANZAC day (25thApril) on her own to an approximate audience of 10,000. I was supposed to use a strip of green cardstock with trees and cut out some of the foliage part and stick over the top but I grabbed out my markers and just coloured them in instead and used the scrap of green to make another card, as you will see in my last card.

Then we made this girly style card it's a design & quick and easy to make using this very cute Kaszazz paper. I ordered a sheet I think it was $1.65 so I will be able to make heaps of cards out of just one sheet of paper.


TIP: adhere everything to your square panel first then attach it to your card, as it’s easier to centre and align straight!

After class I had a strip of stamped trees on green cardstock leftover so I made this when I got home and was all inspired. The button is made from coconut shell and the paper on this card is Kaisercraft. I added some dimensional magic to add some detail to finish.

This mouse stamp is just so cute and to finish I added some glitter and butterflies. My 10yr old daughter and I teamed up to make this card. Be happy… to all my wonderful followers, I appreciate all your  thoughtful comments.

Oriental Star Book

I have taken a lot of classes with Jane Norrish and this was the very fist class I ever did with her and I was so impressed with myself for completing this project before I went home from class as I had never done such a complicated class. Jane made it all so simple and easy to follow and I couldn’t wait to do more classes with her after that. Her main design tip was to use a piercing template for the pages as this was the trick to make the project so neat and we used a book binding thread to secure the project together and even some fancy beading on the seam. We used foils to add some interest to the pages and the Gold Krylon pen to do some edges,special affects and details. Some of the image colouring was done with chalks to create a more subtle affect. I hope you enjoyed looking at one of my many treasures.

ATC Travel to Paris

 I would have loved to enter this ATC in a challenge, but I'm not sure where to go. I'm very happy with the result. I stamped the diamonds in yellow and the map stamp in red as my background aiming for something a little unusual. Maybe I'll make it into a card.

Fabulous Fairy

This fairy keeps appearing in my cards and she is perfect for Birthday card’s for gorgeous little girls. My daughter and I made the background using glitter and fingers oh what fun we had, and glitter everywhere!
Entering this card into Mojo Monday 179. I'm so pleased with myself that I even worked out how to add this sketch to my blog as I improve on this computer, I'm finally finding a whole new world!

Spring Joy

My first attempt at colouring in a stamped image. One night while my daughter was at one of her rehearsals I sat in the corner and coloured this image.
