Vintage Card

  I had a lot of fun making this Vintage style card and I used two papers and ripped the edge thru the middle and inked the edges.I then sprayed walnut inks over the top, green ink over the blue paper on the left and a brown ink over the right side. I had a list in my head of products I wanted to see on my card …pearls definitely, vintage flowers, lace which I left a frayed edge and wove some satin ribbon thru for extra detail , I even managed to add a feather. The big bow ribbon has detailed stitching and a perfect accent. I purchased this ruler ribbon on the bottom recently and was dying to use it! She is such a sweet little girl and she has that lovely vintage childhood memories feel to it, kind of like the Secret Garden.

School Days

I made this project at a Stamping Inkstinct class ages ago and this gorgeous vintage book was designed by the very talented Louise Magetti, it is a personal treasure of mine. Australian Stamping and Papercraft magazine have often put her talented work in their magazine and I have been lucky enough to have had a lot of private lessons with Louise to get me where I am today and enjoy this wonderful creative pastime and be totally inspired to do so much more. I really enjoyed making this paper bag book which created the pockets for the inserts.

ATC Travel to Paris

 I would have loved to enter this ATC in a challenge, but I'm not sure where to go. I'm very happy with the result. I stamped the diamonds in yellow and the map stamp in red as my background aiming for something a little unusual. Maybe I'll make it into a card.

Masculine Card Tin

 

I made this tin a a class with a group called Stamping Inkstinct a few years ago and I keep a set of playing cards in it. It is one of my all time favourite pieces I have ever made. It was the first time I ever used alcohol inks.

Vintage Cards

 

 

As a treat my good friend Vicki and I decided to attend a class at J.A.M. Creations in Machinery Drive at South Tweed Heads to make Vintage cards with the very talented Jackie McGee. We had so much fun and learnt about new products and ideas and the pleasure of making the cards was wonderful.  I was very pleased with the results and just couldn’t bear to part with them, I adore the pins we used to hold the bows they are just so cute. Naturally we purchased some new goodies after class and later went out for coffee at beautiful Coolangatta Beach. A really girly day!
I'm also very proud of my advances in technology as today I have managed three photos on my blog at once!
